Neighborhood Volunteer Program

We need you! When an election is near, we need volunteers to assist in many different areas of the voting process. By donating your time, you not only get to assist your neighbors in keeping the democratic process alive, but you help to ensure that it never dies. As Americans, it is not only our patriotic duty to vote, but it is our patriotic duty to help those who need assistance voting by getting them to the voting booths and assisting them at the voting booths. The volunteers fill a lot of key areas that make the democratic process work and function smoothly.

I encourage you to take time from your day and fulfill an important role as a volunteer and help support our Democrats as they struggle to defend our rights and make change in Government that benefits us all.

Ken grew up in Ohio where he was an early volunteer in Democratic Party events and campaigns. This volunteer spirit has never left him; bringing it with him thirty eight years ago to Fort Lauderdale then Lauderdale by the Sea. Ken serves on numerous Boards in this area, has been a fund-raiser for a number of non-profit organizations and agencies, and has been a change agent in terms of quality of life issues for children. He worked with Change for Obama during the 2008 election and registered many new Democrats. Ken has received the volunteer of the year award 2010/2011 from the Broward County Democratic Party. He was appointed to the Broward County School Board's Audit Commitee in 2010, he also is the Vice Chair of The Lauderdale by the Sea Citizens Initiative Commitee.

Ken sees his role as District Precinct Committeeman for the Democratic Party as one which assists his colleague Democrats to have their voices heard and their votes count. Ken has long been known as someone who engages and transforms, and someone upon whom people can rely. Ken is a roll up your sleeves and get it done kind of person. Ken is the Area 1 Leader for the DEC, he also serves as President of The Greater Deerfield Beach Democratic Club. He is a full-time Volunteer Executive Director of two nationally acclaimed and accredited camps for children.
